Portable Hardness Tester Used in Electric Power

As one of the important energy supply facilities, the operation safety and stability of thermal power plants play an irreplaceable role in social and economic development. The hardness of metal parts is one of the important factors to ensure its structural strength and durability. Therefore, hardness inspection is a necessary means to ensure the safe operation of power plant equipment. Therefore, hardness test is the most direct and simple means to understand the mechanical status of the metal parts under supervision in thermal power plants. The parts of hardness test include the cross section of alloy steel pipe, alloy steel bend pipe, alloy steel tee, reducing pipe, turbine rotor, electron-generating rotor, high temperature fasteners, etc. In the test process, the hardness test of each section of these parts and the surface of different angles is carried out at least 5 points. If the parts with abnormal hardness values are found, the inspection area should be expanded and metallographic structure inspection should be carried out. For the monitored metal parts with unqualified hardness, if conditions permit, restorative heat treatment can be carried out and continue to be used after passing the inspection.

The hardness test of these power equipment parts belongs to the field test, so the portable hardness tester is mainly used. It facilitates on-site inspection and data acquisition by operators. Therefore, the thermal power plant should have a high degree of professional sensitivity in the production process, and be good at judging the quality of the monitored metal parts through the hardness test.
