Barcol hardness tester is a kind of portable hardness tester, it has the simple operation by just single hand and wide measuring range, no experience to be needed, test can be finished as long as touching only one side of specimen.
Model 934-1 is the typical model which is in widest application mainly used for rapid hardness test for aluminum and aluminum alloys. It is suitable to test pure aluminum, aluminum alloys, thick pieces of aluminum sheets, thick pieces, bars and assembled aluminum alloys parts (e.g. aluminum alloy doors, windows and ladders); Model 934-1 Barcol hardness tester is also used to test fiber reinforced plastics and hard plastics with ASTM D2583; Model 934-1 Barcol hardness tester complies with ASTM B648-00 Test Method for Indentation Hardness of Aluminum Alloys by Means of a Barcol Impressor. Model 935 is mainly used to test soft plastics, lead, tin and other soft metals. Model 936 is mainly used to test rubber, wood, leather, and other super soft material.
